What hours is the Tutoring Center open?

We are open Monday - Thursday (8 AM to 8 PM) and Friday (8 AM to 12 Noon) during the regular semester.

When the students are on break, we are open Monday - Thursday (8 AM to 5:30 PM) and Friday (8 AM to 12 Noon).

Will my instructor know if I go for tutoring?

Instructors do not normally know if the students attend tutoring. You are able to request that your instructor be made aware that you have been attending tutoring, or you can tell them yourself.

Can I bring my own computer?

You are always welcome to bring your own computer. There are also computers available for you to use in person at the tutoring center.

Does the Tutoring Center provide study aids?

The Tutoring Center has a supply of books for different tests, and can provide study strategies.

Do I need an appointment for tutoring?

No appointment is required. Visitors sign in when they walk in using a QR code.

By attending tutoring you could gain a better understanding of material, note taking, and how you learn best. All of these things make it more likely that you will do better in your classes.

How can I be tutored if am an online student?

If you are an online student or simply cannot make it to campus you are able to get online tutoring. Just send an email to me at melinda.pell@cv.edu with a request. A tutor will respond to the email with a link for the meeting.
